BISMARCK, ND -- As many 4-year-old girls do, Grace loves princesses and in April, she was surprised by some of her favorites at the Make-A-Wish® World of Wishes event in Bismarck letting her know her wish to have tea with the princesses is coming true. Grace and her family leave for Walt Disney World® from the Bismarck Airport on Saturday, May 25.
Grace, who has congenital heart disease, has already faced several surgeries in her young life, and more may be ahead. Yet, despite her medical diagnosis and treatments, Grace is bubbly and loves to play Barbies, be outside with her sisters, go swimming, eat pizza and watch movies.
When wish granters, Deidre and Greg, first met with Grace, it was easy to tell how much a tea party with princesses would mean to her. From there, they worked with the Bismarck High School drama department to have Grace’s two favorite princesses be part of her wish reveal, making it extra special and exciting.
Grace and her family will spend a week in Orlando, Florida, and stay at Give Kids the World Village. Her special tea party will take place on Wednesday, May 29, at Disney’s Perfectly Princess Tea at the Disney Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Throughout the rest of the trip, Grace will enjoy Walt Disney World theme parks—meeting various Disney characters, riding rides and eating treats.
