On each episode of “Dora the Explorer,” Dora goes on an adventure and faces many obstacles to get to her destination. Born with Sanfilippo syndrome, a rare genetic disease, four-year-old Brea is no stranger to obstacles either.
Brea lights up when Dora comes on the television. Showing such enthusiasm for Dora and many other Nick Jr. characters, it was clearly the time for Brea to embark on her own adventure, just like Dora. The destination was set, the map was drawn and Brea was ready.
Brea made sure to take full advantage of all that Orlando has to offer. Her mom told Make-A-Wish, “The things we were able to do and see in a short amount of days was amazing.” Some of Brea’s favorite moments were feeding dolphins at SeaWorld, riding the carousel at Give Kids the World and of course meeting Dora! But no trip to Orlando is complete without a visit to the Disney Theme Parks. She made time to visit Magic Kingdom® where she could ride the tea cups, but more importantly Brea spent quality time with her family. “It pulled us all together to help each other out and enjoy our family. Being able to see Brea enjoy this trip is priceless and we’ll hold memories dear to our hearts forever!”
