Ty, 7-year-old from Grace City, loves everything cowboys and horses. Ever since he and his dad purchased a stock trailer in Texas, this kid has dreamed of going back to meet a real cowboy.
At the age of 6, Ty was diagnosed with PKAN, a life-threatening neurological condition. While PKAN can cause a number of different neuronal difficulties, Ty has not slowed down; often getting dressed up in his chaps and football helmet to practice his cowboy skills on his brothers who serve as his bulls.
Ty’s wish was clear: To go to Texas and meet real cowboys. With chaps in hand, his dream will come true on February 28 when he and his family fly to Dallas, Texas. During their wish trip, the Kulsrud family will be given the VIP treatment at the PBR rodeo, including tickets to the show, a backstage tour and interaction with the riders. Ty will also get the chance to meet and hang out with a number of local cowboys.
The youngest of three, Ty has two brothers, Tanner, 9-years-old and Lane, 11-years-old, who also have PKAN. Ty and Tanner were tested and diagnosed with PKAN after their older brother Lane found out he had the disease. Tanner and Lane will also have their wishes granted by Make-A-Wish® over the next year.
