Zachariah, a 15-year-old West Fargo boy, was diagnosed with leukemia and during treatment he was referred to Make-A-Wish. Volunteer wish granters, Amy Cookman and Kaycee Wickoren, met Zachariah and he shared that his one true wish was to go to Walt Disney World®
Now, Zachariah is ready for his wish to come true! He is looking forward to traveling to somewhere fun and warm. For Zachariah, this wish will be a chance to get away from hospital stays, treatments and the stresses of living with a life-threatening medical condition. Zachariah’s family is set to soak up the sun, take in the sights, meet characters and make memories to last a lifetime, together as a family.
Upon arrival in Florida, Zachariah will head to Give Kids The World Village® where his family will stay while on his wish. Give Kids the World Village is a 79-acre, nonprofit storybook resort. Among the amenities available to families staying here are pools, restaurants, rides, games and so much more. Ice cream is available around the clock and every day celebrates a new theme.
Zachariah will have the opportunity to visit Walt Disney World® Resort and have access to the Magic Kingdom®, Epcot®, Disney’s Hollywood Studios™, Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Park, Universal Orlando Florida® and SeaWorld® Orlando. This wish is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Zachariah and his family.
Zachariah’s wish will come true with the help of generous donors who want to be a part of making wishes possible. Spearheading a workplace giving campaign at your place of employment, such as a jeans day, bake sale, or other Wishmakers at Work® activities, is a great way to be a part of making wishes like Zachariah’s come true.
