Rydell GM Auto Center in Grand Forks, ND hosted their 5th Annual Benefit Car & Bike Show on September 19, 2010 to raise funds for Make-A-Wish Foundation® of North Dakota. Each year, the Rydell employees nominate and vote for a local charity that will receive all proceeds from their annual fundraising benefit show. All proceeds generated from the benefit by public donations, as well as a dollar for dollar Rydell company match, go to that charity. In 2010, Make-A-Wish Foundation of North Dakota was the lucky recipient of the donation, which totaled $49,405.04!  This represents the highest dollar amount ever raised at the Rydell Annual Benefit Car and Bike Show.

The show is kid friendly and great for people of all ages. They also welcome vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles and even pedal cars of all types and stages of completion for display.  One of the exciting entries at this year’s show was the car of a recent wish recipient Jeff with his restored 1989 Nissan 300 ZX, which was presented to him in December 2009. It was a fun family event with awards, lots of kid’s activities, a silent and live auction, music and food and lots of happy, smiling faces.

With the money raised from the 2010 show, the Rydell donation will be able to grant about 7 wishes for Make-A-Wish Foundation of North Dakota.  So far two of the seven wishes have been granted. Click here to learn more about Jordan’s magical adventure.
